I don’t know what it is …but something tells me that 2013 is going to be a big year; and, I am reminded of phalaenopsis orchids. This orchid species grows on slabs of bark in some of the most precarious places. Yet they bloom where they are planted.
Solidly rooted, you’ll find them sitting pretty and poised … perched on the edge of the unknown as they are here in this photo. The sight of phalaenopsis orchids fills me with the drive to get-up-and go … to dust off my classic bound portfolio and take on bigger design projects than I have before.
Taking such giant leaps requires a keen sense of balance. To find center, put your passions first. If you love flowers, then make a commitment to spend 30 minutes every day appreciating flowers or refining your arranging skills. You might even wake up your work space with a few thrifty decorating tips.

Happy New Year!
